Whale watching is what Kauai and Hawaii in general is noted for. These large beauties provide an amazing view as they come to the surface. At first, you will hear a large blow on the water and then you will see a few whales in the pack accompany it. It is an amazing site that everyone needs to see at least once in their life. When the Humpback Whales reach the coastline of Kauai, they will linger for 10-15 minutes simply playing and slapping around. If you choose to take a whale watching trip, also known as a tour, you will have a guide that will interpret everything that the whale is doing. You will not only get to see them first hand, but you will get to learn about them including their history, natural habitat and more. If you are looking for an exciting trip, take a raft into the water and be very up close and personal with the whales. This, however, is not advised for women who are pregnant or have back problems. It is also recommended that you go early in the morning so it is easier to see the whales due to the fact that the water is flat. Remember to bring your camera, waterproof is the best! You will want to capture these exciting moments to share them with friends and family when you get back. Whale watching is a very exciting and beautiful experience for all ages. |
