If you are looking for a fun time, the Big Island of Hawaii offers a fun and exciting dolphin excursion that allows you to swim and play with the dolphins of the island. Each trip is roughly four hours in length and will include the ride out to the site, hours of play and the trip back. There are literally thousands of dolphins that live in the waters around Hawaii so you are guaranteed to at least see something! You will be entertained as the dolphins play and splash around in the wake of the boat. There are four different species that reside in Hawaii waters. They are the Rough-toothed dolphin, Pacific bottlenose, Spinner and the Spotted dolphin. Each of these varieties has a certain characteristic about them that makes them unique and a joy to see. The most common of these species is the Bottlenose and the Spinner. Being allowed to swim and play with the dolphins is really a treat! Although boat trips cannot guarantee that you will be able to swim with the dolphins when you are out in the waters, there are places that are regulated that guarantee a swim. The best time to swim with a dolphin is undoubtedly in their nature habitat, however, sometimes that is not possible and completely left up to the dolphins on whether or not they feel like playing! In all, the whole trip is exciting and can be taken for a reasonable price that accommodates almost any budget. |
