Luaus are great, but they are mostly about food. So, adding some games to the mix is more fun for your guests. Everyone loves a puzzle, so take an icon of something having to do with a luau, like leis, coconuts, palm trees, and take that photo or drawing and cut it up. Be sure that all the pieces are present, because this is going to turn into a game for your younger guests.

Of course, the adults can also join in, if you have a photo of a hula dancer. Just cut it up, and in puzzle pieces it’s more fun, and scramble up the pieces.

Bingo is also very popular, and if you make it a bingo game with a luau theme, it will be even more fun. It can be any bingo game, but just use chips that have a picture of a pineapple on them. Or maybe you can use actual pieces of coconuts to cover the numbers as they are called.

To keep the youngsters busy, there are many printable luau party puzzles, games, and coloring book pages for them to color. Any Hawaiian or other tropical paradise subject can be colored. If you need to make these, just pick a subject, like a pineapple, and draw it with thick marker. Leave plenty of space for the children to color in the pineapple leaves and the rest of the fruit. You can do this with palm trees, leis, hula dancers, and tiki torches.

You can take any popular party game and make it appropriate for a luau. For example, Pin the Tail on the Donkey can be easily changed to Pin the Coconuts on the Palm Trees. Or Pin the Lei on the Hula Dancer. There are endless combinations to this, if you just use your imagination. Adults as well as children may enjoy this favorite party game, too.
